The right moment is pivotal. A picture taken at the right moment can create a lifelong memory. A word spoken at the right moment can shift a person’s life direction. And a prayer prompted by God’s timing can change the course of a nation.
Awaken the Dawn, a large prayer event from October 6–9 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., will mark a unique moment in American history. Today, Americans face social, political, and economic issues that threaten to divide our nation. People are hurt, angry, and confused. That’s why this moment is so critical.
God is stirring people to recognize and experience his presence in our nation. He wants to awaken hearts to his love, hope, and peace. When people gather on the National Mall to pray for America, we believe God will do what only he can do: transform lives, communities, and our nation.
Now is the time to pray like never before for God to awaken hearts to the reality of his love. Will you join us in prayer to ask Jesus to draw Americans to him?
Pray for:
- God’s Love and Nearness. Pray that as thousands gather on the Mall to worship God, he will make his presence felt. Ask God to ease anxieties with his peace, to heal wounded hearts with his care, and to replace anger and fear with his love.
- A Renewed Mission. Ask God to set believers on a mission: to carry Jesus’s love, hope, and healing to all sectors of society.
- Jesus’s Beauty to be Revealed. Pray for men, women, and children across America to recognize the beauty of knowing Jesus. Ask God to inspire people to read His Word, and pray that Americans would feel Jesus’s love for them as they read Scripture.
