Every year, nearly 200,000 young Egyptians engage Scripture at live Kingo Festivals, a children’s program led by a costumed lion named Kingo who teaches Bible lessons through singing and storytelling. Bible Society of Egypt hosts these events based around
their immensely popular cartoon series, “Kingsley’s Meadows.”

At the Kingo Festivals, children enjoy drama, games and music, all while interacting with costumed characters from the show. Scripture activity booklets also ensure that Bible engagement continues long after the festivals are over. By supporting this growing project, financial partners from American Bible Society have helped thousands of Egyptian children to embrace God’s Word through the lessons of a friendly lion.
