Believers in Congo rejoiced with the arrival of the first Vili New Testament late last year.
After 15 years of translation efforts, hundreds of excited people attended the launch of the completed Scriptures. For thousands of Vili speakers, this is the first time they can read the Bible in their heart language.
For others, the new translation will be both a tool for strengthening faith and strengthening literacy. Translators are now working to complete a Vili translation of the Old Testament to release by 2029.
Join us in prayer for the future translation efforts.
“I remember you in my prayers and ask the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, to give you the Spirit, who will make you wise and reveal God to you, so that you will know him.”
Ephesians 1:16b-17 (GNT)
