SHEKGALAGARI BIBLE, BOTSWANA —
The completion of the Shekgalagari Bible translation earlier this year was widely celebrated among the Bakgalagari people in Botswana. Previously, the only Scripture they could access was in a different, ancient language that was very difficult to understand. This new Bible, along with an audio Bible and smartphone app, is opening God’s Word to many more Shekgalagari speakers of all ages.
BIBLES FOR EASTERN CHAM PEOPLE, VIETNAM —
Though the people of the Eastern Cham minority ethnic group in Central Vietnam have a long history that includes Christianity, they have never had access to God’s Word in their heart language before. With the release of the Cham Bible translation this year, Cham Christians will finally be able to read and study the Bible, grown and stand firm in their faith, and share their faith with others.
