When Nadia’s* husband died, she didn’t think life in Cameroon would ever get better. She focused on providing for her seven children, but Nadia’s grief threatened to overwhelm her.
“Eleven of us live in a three-room house,” she says. “Life has been very difficult for us.”
Then one day, Nadia’s granddaughter had a dream. Jesus appeared and told her that He was watching over them and she should pray before bed.
“The very next day, the Bible Society came to our village,” Nadia says. “It was an answer to that prayer.”
Praise God, Nadia and her family participated in the audio Bible listening group and received their own Bibles in their heart languages, thanks to the support of friends like you.
“I was living in pain and grief,” Nadia says. “But since I started listening to the Bible in my language, there has been peace in my heart. My life is already changing. I have forgotten the past, and now I am living in the present according to the Word of God.”
There are many people in Cameroon who long for the peace and changed life that Nadia and her family have experienced through God’s Word.
Even those in Cameroon who already know Christ need our help as religious extremists continue to target Christians. Churches, houses, schools, and even hospitals have been burned to the ground in recent years.
But with the support of our financial partners, we can continue to provide Bibles to our brothers and sisters in Christ, that they may draw strength and resolve from His Word.
We are so humbled by their dedication to Bible provision for hurting people. Together, we can reach the unreached through Scripture to people like Nadia.
