In February, American Bible Society participated in the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. A chief focus was seeking to raise awareness of She's My Sister™ — an ABS initiative that responds to the vicious acts of war that have left women broken and children orphaned in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The general secretaries of the Bible societies of the DRC, Sudan and Uganda were present. The breakfast offered participants an opportunity to respond to God's call to serve widows and orphans in need.
