Egypt is a transit point for refugees seeking passage to the Middle East and Europe, with some 8,000 entering yearly. Most enter from bordering Sudan. Blind adults and those who bring along visually impaired children, face considerable discrimination and neglect.

The Bible society of Egypt (BSE) is reaching out to them with God's Word in audio, visual and print formats. Through this outreach, BSE anticipates that 10,000 refugees and 10,521 blind people will engage with God's Word.
