Thanks to our financial partners, for more than 200 years American Bible Society has been able to provide Bibles to our country’s Troops!

“As you’re hearing on the news, worldwide tensions are increasing,” said Chaplain (Major) Dennis Howard*. “To keep America safe, deployments have increased to South Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Northern Africa, and other dangerous areas. Additionally, we have amped up our Navy presence. We need your help to provide our Troops with Bibles so they can have the comfort of God’s Word, as they go into harm’s way to keep us safe.”

Navy Chief Dan Crane* knows all too well how important the Scripture materials are to Troops and Veterans. “This is God putting something in the right place at the right time. Without all these Bible materials, I don’t think I would’ve made it.”

In the grand scheme of things, sometimes you don’t remember exactly why things happen. But when you look back on it, you see God’s plan and how purposeful it really is.” — John Harris*, Army

The continued support of American Bible Society’s financial partners ensures we can continue our more than 200-year legacy of sharing God’s Word with those who sacrifice so much to serve our nation through the Military. Because of our financial partners’ generosity, we’re able to supply 2,000 Scripture resources each day.

In fact, from 1817 through the twenty-first century War on Terror, our partners’ generosity has allowed us to place more than 60 million free Bibles and scripture resources into the open hands and hearts of America’s Armed Forces.
