Young people in Niger are navigating several challenges, such as extreme poverty and illiteracy, while also encountering a rise in aggressive groups within the predominantly Islamic country.
Thanks to faithful partners like you, the local Bible Society is placing God’s Word into the hands and hearts of thousands of youths who would otherwise never have access to Scripture.
Ramatou* is a bright 19-year-old who has gained confidence and a love for others since receiving her new Bible. She shares, “The New Testament I received helped me change my behavior.”
The Bible that 17-year-old Armelle* received has helped her change her attitude about school. “I found great pleasure in reading the Word of God,” she explains. “Now, I am at the top of my class!”
Though Cherifa* is just 16, she describes herself as having become greedy, with “a strong love of money.” After spending time reading her new Bible, she became convicted. “Hebrews 13:5-8 has drawn my attention to this bad behavior and love of money,” she says. “I prayed . . . and thank God I no longer have that desire in my life, and I am more at peace.”
