With a bright smile and her new Bible in hand, Samara* announced, “I decided to follow Jesus!”
At 16 years old, Samara had never owned a Bible before. Thanks to partners like you, that changed the day she attended an evangelistic outreach near her town in Central Africa. She was so happy to have a Bible of her own.
Now, she says, “This Bible, to me, is a precious treasure. Jesus is the path that leads to eternal life and the only one that makes me feel secure in my salvation.”
In her decision to follow Christ, Samara knows that her life will change. She trusts that the Lord will shape her into a new person. She wants to walk with Him as she grows into the person she is meant to
be.
“Of one thing I am sure, I won’t be the same person anymore,” Samara continues. “From now on, I will always use my Bible and apply everything I read to my personal life. I see that the Gospel is a good thing, and I think it will make me a different girl in front of my friends and family.”
She adds, “This Bible, in the language of my heart, will help me a lot in my personal life. I will read my Bible because I know that the more I read, the more I will learn about the life of Jesus and what His mission was when He was here on Earth.”
