Late last year the first ever Braille Bible in Acholil language launched at an event in Uganda.
The need for this full-Bible translation was great, and it was released to the thunderous applause of hundreds of Acholi-speaking attendees, many of whom were visually impaired.
Richard Todwong, a Ugandan politician attending the launch, said, “Blind people have had to rely on others reading and interpreting the Bible for them. Now they can read it for themselves.”
Thank you to our generous partners for helping our brothers and sisters who are blind to know the Good News of Jesus Christ in their heart language.
Join us in prayer.
They put their trust in God and prayed to him for help, and God answered their prayers.
